MISSION STATEMENT

To reduce substance abuse and problem gambling in the South Cochrane district by providing the residents of South Cochrane with a wide range of options for developing lifestyles which are free of harmful addictions.

Services

  • Voluntary and Confidential
  • Based on community and client needs
  • Free of charge
  • Funded by the North East LHIN (Local Health Integration Network)
  • Offered between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays (closed from 12 noon to 1 p.m.)
  • Offered to residents of all ages who reside in the South Cochrane District
  • Services are offered in English or French
  • Some outreach services are available

Referrals

Individuals are referred by self, family members, probation, child and family services, health care providers, family physicians or other sources. Services offered are voluntary and confidential; based on community and client needs; free of charge; offered to residents who reside in the South Cochrane District; and offered in English or French.

Ministry of Health & Long-Term care (MOHLTC) Funded (North East LHIN)

MOHLTC Agreement Mandate: To provide assessment, case management, and community treatment for substance abuse and problem gambling. To provide education awareness, and services to family members and communities. We also follow a multi-sectoral accountability agreement with the North East Local Health Integration Network.

The Back On Track Program (BOT)

Convicted Impaired Drivers

You are required to take Back on Track if you were convicted of an impaired driving offence or you have had a 2nd or subsequent roadside suspension in the Warn Range.

The full Back on Track program has three parts: the assessment, the education or treatment workshop and the six-month follow-up. To avoid delays in getting your license back, register for the program as soon as possible.

Warn Range suspension drivers require the one day education or two day treatment workshop only.
